What to know before you hire
Niseko Sports is the resort-run hire for Hanazono, with stores at Hirafu Zaka and in the Hanazono 308 building, plus counters at The Vale and the Muwa Premium Station. The 2026–27 season is published as 28 November 2026 to 11 April 2027 (tentative). Stores open 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, closing at 5 pm outside night-skiing periods, and the desk stops taking rentals 30 minutes before close.
Pickup is free from 3 pm the day before your start date, and you can keep the gear until 10 am the day after your last day. Overnight storage for rented skis, poles and boards is free at any Niseko Sports store, and so is unlimited hot waxing. Online booking closes 4 days before your start date; after that, walk in.
Premium and Kids range skis and boards can be swapped as often as you like at any outlet. Staff set bindings to the ISO 11088 standard from the age, height and weight you give at booking. The rental bindings take alpine boots only, not touring boots.
Published 2026–27 rates for skis or a board with boots: ¥10,500 a day on the Premium range, ¥8,500 on Sports Economy (which includes Burton Learn to Ride boards for first-timers), and ¥6,500 for the Child range (14 and under). Helmets are ¥2,500 a day. Avalanche beacons and full sets are rented at Hanazono 308 and Hirafu Zaka only, with no advance booking.
