What to know before you hire
Village Sports runs a premium-only fleet from its on-snow shop at the base of Niseko Village. The published brand list runs to Atomic, Blizzard, Burton, Capita, Nitro, Nordica and Völkl, with powder skis such as the Atomic Bent and Völkl Revolt and boards from Burton, Capita and Nitro.
You can swap gear any time during your stay, including between skis and a snowboard, with no extra fee. Collect from 3 pm the day before your booking and return by 10 am the day after it ends. Booking is not usually required, but they recommend it for busy periods to guarantee sizes.
Published 2026–27 rates: an adult ski or snowboard set (with boots) is ¥10,000 for one day and ¥24,200 for three; a junior set (13 and under) is ¥7,000 for a day; a helmet is ¥2,000 a day. The demo-to-buy programme lets up to three days' rental count towards buying the same gear.
